Local Singer, Arnel Pineda hired as vocalist for the band Journey
This has been all over the news for the past week and a half already and I still feel good inside whenever I hear about it. Makes me feel really proud to be a Filipino.
If you still don’t know, Arnel Pineda is a veteran singer from the cover band The Zoo. On one of their gigs, he sang Journey’s hit song,”Faithfully” and the performance was recorded by a friend for posterity. The video was then uploaded on YouTube (see video below) where it was seen by Journey’s guitarist, Neil Schon, and the rest is history!
Journey is one of the great American Rock Bands in the 80′s with hit songs such as, Anyway You Want it, Don’t Stop Believin’, Faithfully, Stone in Love, and Open Arms (which was also sang by Mariah Carey).
Kudos to Arnel Pineda for making it to the international rock scene! Pagbutihin mo and ipagmalaki mo ang mga pinoy!

Gusto sana naming panoorin ang concert niya sa Ampitheater at Mountain View, California kanya lang sold out ang ticket. Ilang araw akong nagbabad sa internet para lang makakuha pero wala.

These two locations in Northern California (the other one in Walnut Creek) is also a sold out. Imagine, this one in Walnut Creek was on a weekday and still a sold out. Very seldom it happens a sold out concert on a weekday because it is a working day.
