Speaker dock for Sansa e200 mp3 players
When my wife and I went to Singapore on the summer of 2007, we attended this IT Show where we decided to buy an mp3 player. We don’t want to buy an iPod since it’s too common and too expensive for our pockets.
I want something that looks like an iPod Nano but screams anti-Mac. I want something with removable drive so I won’t be stuck with its built-in flash memory. Upon looking at some sites, I came across the Sansa e200 series mp3 players and I immediately know that it’s the one we have to buy. For around P6,000 we got the 2GB version with a 2GB Sandisk MicroSD included.
Fast-forward 9 months, we encountered a problem with unpopular brands of mp3 player. We can’t find a speaker dock for it anywhere here in the Philippines. We want the dock to act as a stereo in our bedroom. In the net, there’s not much design to choose from and the price tags are hefty.
Not until I ran across the MacAlly brand and its IceTune Speaker and Charger Dock for the Sansa e200 series. Pretty cool huh?
The design is futuristic and the blue halo light fits well with the Sansa. You can stack them up or split them apart and you can even use it as a speaker for your PC.
The price is not that expensive as well, I found a $33 one in AntOnline.com. If you like the design but have an iPod instead, they also come in iPod flavor. Now we’ll just have to wait for someone in the US to return here.

Hello Calvin,
what is the output of icetune speaker and how much did u pay for this. does it even fits mp3 players. wanting to compare it with the Ipod Dock by minispeakers which I brought 6-7 months back.
regards,
peets
I bought the one from AntOnline which was $42.17 including tax and shipping. had it shipped to my grandma who brought it here when she went home.
It’s pretty decent for a room speaker which is what we simply wanted. don’t expect a lot of bass from it though.
i’m not sure if it fits all mp3 players since this one is made for Sansa but they also have a similar one for iPods (white version).
im am selling my Sansa e260 4GB BRAND NEW player, still sealed..

Hi,
I really don’t want an ipod but they don’t make speaker docks for anything else! I have a sansa e200 and the altec lansing Inmotion (im510) but it doesn’t seem to charge my player and I can’t find a new one.
The link you posted said it is for ipod, how does it work wtih sansa?
Thanks :_)
there’s a sansa version of that dock but they seem to be discontinued already. i checked out the site where i bought mine but they don’t carry it anymore.
try looking on e-bay if you really want one.
