Woot, what a weird episode and the editing kinda sucked as well.

Anyway, Adrian & Collin finally came in first! They also got an N95 and an N73 Nokia phones for being first. Marc & Rovilson came in second followed by Pam & Van, Anne & Dianne and lastly Paula & Natasha. Luckily for them, this is one of those pre-determined non-elimination leg of the race.

It was no contest for both Adrian & Collin from the start of the race thanks to their quick thinking.

First task is to board a train going to Budapest. The teams left at around midnight for the train station with Paula & Natasha leaving at around 5 AM. All the teams except for Adrian & Collin asked for the time the train leaves for Budapest which is around 7:30 AM.

The Singaporeans however, checked the internet for trains going to Budapest then they asked at the counter the earliest time they could board a train that can take them to Budapest. There is a train going to Vienna that leaves at 5 AM and from there catch a connecting train to Budapest. They hid somewhere in the station so they don’t have to confront the other teams.

That’s the game right there! The other teams wondered where the Singaporeans went and they thought that they missed the train not knowing that they’re almost 2 hours ahead.

Ok at Budapest, teams need to drive a marked manual transmission car to a farm where a Detour is waiting. This is really a challenge for the ladies. All of them had a hard time driving the cars.

Detour

Teams needs to choose whether to pitch loads of hay on a cart or milk a goat. Pitching hay sounds easy but even Marc & Rovilson had a hard time doing it.

I won’t bother with Adrian & Collin since they’re wayyyy ahead of the others. Second to arrive on the farm are Paula & Natasha then followed by the Malaysian moms.

Marc & Rovilson came in next!!! Even though they don’t have problems driving the car, my guess is they just got lost going there. They were really not used to being second to the last and they really felt the pressure.

Pam & Van was last to arrive on the farm since among the other girls, Van was the one having a really really hard time with the stick shift.

Roadblock

Next is a roadblock where teams need to zip fly through the countryside stopping at a number of platforms where a number is posted. They need to add the numbers in all platforms and present the correct answer at the last platform. If they got it wrong, they need to go back and do the whole thing again.

Adrian got it wrong on his first try but they have plenty of time to spare to get it right the second time around.

Paula & Natasha got there next but Natasha also got it wrong on the first try. Before they were able to get back at the starting point, the Malaysian moms came in followed closely by Marc & Rovilson.

Since Anne drove away to the last platform before Dianne was able to start, they had to give way to Marc & Rovilson (Both members needs to be present at the start of each task). Dianne was upset because of that and kinda scolded Anne. Hehehe.

Anyway, Marc got the answer right the first time so they’re off to the next task are now second in the race. Good job Marc!

Find the fountain

The next task is to just drive and locate the Hercules fountain that is printed on the local money. Adrian & Collin breezed through this task since the location is already on their tourist map.

Back to the zip fly

Dianne got it wrong on her first try while Natasha was able to get the answer right on her second try so they’re off to the next task and 3rd on the race. Pam & Van arrived and it’s Pam who’s doing the roadblock. She got it wrong on her first try as well. The Malaysians (moms & sisters) finally got the answer right on their second try.

Marc & Rovilson got to the fountain without any problem so they can proceed to the next task but they’re still way behind Adrian & Collin.

Pit Stop 

The next task is a pit stop where they need to drive to a castle perched on top of a hill. There’s a catch in the clue wherein the teams need to find the marked parking lot where they could park their car and not just park near the entrance of the pit stop. The parking lot is located very far from the main entrance.

Adrian & Collin made the mistake on parking by the main entrance so when they reached the top of the castle, they were asked to read the clue and do it correctly. So they went down back to the car and searched for the marked parking area.

This is where the editing started to suck

They made it seem that Marc & Rovilson are really close behind Team Singapore when it’s obviously not the case just by looking at the daylight available. But it’s kinda funny when Marc & Rovilson grabbed some plants and tried to cover themselves while running to the pit stop acting like a couple of cartoon characters.

Another sucky editing. For some reason not clearly explained or seen, Pam & Van managed to reach the pit stop first before the other girl teams. They were also told to read the clue properly and go back to find the parking lot. Van is really frustrated this time from having to drive the car again but they still managed to come in 3rd.

What happened to Paula and Natasha?

After leaving the zip fly task on 3rd place, they managed to be the last team to arrive at the pit stop. I don’t know what happened… maybe they got lost looking for the fountain? There’s no explanation from the show on how they ended being last.

Oh well, try to catch up on the next leg girls.

Congrats to Adrian & Collin for outsmarting the other teams but expect Team Philippines to bounce back hard.
