Juno movie review
Finally, my wife and I were able to watch Juno after being busy for quite a while with work and other stuff. I heard nothing but great reviews on it so I had high expectations watching the film. Juno didn’t disappoint and it ranks as one of the best movies I’ve seen in a long time.
The story is about Juno, a tomboyish high school teenager with a smart mouth played by Ellen Page (Shadowcat in X-men movie), who found herself pregnant after having sex with her best friend Bleeker played by Michael Cera (Superbad, Arrested Development).
She was not ready to be a mom so she decided to look for the perfect couple to adopt her baby. After looking over some ads, she found the perfect couple (or so she thought), played by Jennifer Garner and Jason Bateman (Arrested Development), for her unborn infant.
The film can be classified as a comedy but not the type that goes overboard with funny antics or eccentric characters. The script is really good and I find myself laughing on the sarcastic-riddled lines. It’s just a perfect mix of what is unique and original, witty and observant, plus warm while serious.
The story is so simple but the acting is so rich and genuine. Ellen Page was very, very good that she was even nominated for Best Actress in the Academy Awards for her role as Juno. Everybody did a great job including Bateman who’s more used to less serious roles.
I would say it’s comparable to My Girl (the first one) and Little Miss Sunshine that gave me a warm fuzzy feeling and a smile in my face after the show.
Verdict: Go watch it and also buy the DVD for your relatives and friends when it comes out. 5 out of 5 stars.

i assumed Juno was directed by the same guy that directed Knocked Up because it’s about an unexpected pregnancy, and Michael Cera stars as Juno’s boyfriend (he was one of the goofy kids from Superbad, a close relative of Knocked Up), but it turns out this is not the case
yeah can’t blame you. micheal cera is tight with the cast of Knocked Up and Superbad.
