Filipinos invade Britain’s Got Talent
Wow. Filipinos are impressing the British public. UK’s Top Talent competition, Britain’s Got Talent approved two Filipinos to be included the semi-finals.
You might have already heard of Madonna Decena from the local news. She’s a 32-year old single mom from Quezon City who left her kids here with her parents six months ago to work in UK.
She joined the talent contest where she sang Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You” and brought tears to the audience as well as a standing ovation.
Not in the local news (not yet at least) is 10 year old half-British half-Pinoy schoolboy, Charlie Green.
He sang Frank Sinatra’s classic, “Summer Wind” that captured the hearts of the audience especially the older generation. His performance was really smooth and his body language showed confidence.

naiyak din ako watching madonna : P sa youtube ko lang napanood. what more if i was there watching her live…simon made a comment, yung singing style daw nya pang club. i wonder what made him say that…brit tabloids wrote madonna as using emotional blackmail to gain votes. they wouldn’t have a clue on how it is to be an ocw. mabuhay ang pinoy!
calvin: siguro dun sa papers nakasulat kung anong occupation nya. and nasabi ata na she sings at casinos. hehe pero yeah some people can’t help to think that way. oh well, pakitaan nya na lang sila.
haha.. i dont work in casinos..i would love too , pays alot they said. and nothing wrong with it. i hope everyone would know that i joined a reality tv show, so somehow the show wants more than talent..they need a story to make you interesting .. it was just incidental that my answer to their standard question why i joined the competition was.. for me to have more work so i could save for my kids.its a typical life of ofw.but quite unusual for brits. i didnt go to the audition ready to tell my life story.. ahaha i went there, ready w my cd and just sang. they kinda liked it and they wanted to know more abt me..so went the pre interview.. sad that there are people who thinks that i used my story to win the hearts of judges, i think they would know better. even if i got the best story and yet no talent i would be a reject.also , this is tv, they create a show for their viewers.they made my story like so, and it wasnt my choice. they just asked me questions and i just gave them my answers..but even with negative thoughts of others i think whats important was the episode inspired alot of people..and thats what matters.i didnt bring shame to us, did i? as it is..i think the show did really well in presenting me. i didnt even expect that i would cry, now that was very embarassing. ya. i read some think i acted,or it was scripted ..ahaha.. i guess its easy to know if i faked it..thanks so much .. hope everythings well w everyone.. will do my best in the next round. hopefully not cry anymore.. ahaha

nah, I don’t think it was scripted or you’re just acting. Guess the media really made a big deal out of your story thats why people cant help it to think that the brits will vote for your because of your story.
