i read the entire documentation of your trip to sorsogon. i have to say that you've written your experience so well that somehow it made me felt bad that you failed to go to places na mas OK kesa sa mga napuntahan niyo (like the paguriran and the subic that you mentioned). there are other places to stay na mas magiging comfortable kayo (mura din) and restaurants or canteen na mas nabusog sana kayo. hehehe but it's all part of the experience, isn't it. the next time that you plan to go back to sorsogon, dont forget ask us, sorsoguenos, tips para mas maenjoy niyo.

just email, i'd be happy to help :)

Wow! Thanks so much for the prompt response.

Actually, right after I left the message here, I tried again and was able to make contact. In case any of your other readers might find it useful, I was given the number of Grace (0922-8831032) and was able to make reservations. :-)

Thanks for the tip! I think I'm going to start shopping for very small life jackets now.

Great site and more power!

calvin: wow that's nice! thanks for sharing the number na rin. enjoy!

Hi Ina,

Yeah mahirap talaga macontact. try mo to call during the evenings.

also try 0920-4168982 and look for Cora. Contact person rin sya sa Rizal Beach Resort.

For VeraMaris (the other resort in Rizal Beach), number is 0917-4317687.

Ok lang to have kids sa whale watching since pwede rin sila mag-stay sa boat while the others are in the water. Sa fireflies naman, baka mahirapan magboard ng banca if there's a 1 year old. madilim din talaga during the firefly tour so keep that in mind.

hope you enjoy your vacation!

Hi Calvin! I really appreciate this series of yours about Legaspi and Sorsogon because my family and I are planning a very similar trip in Holy Week this year. Anticipating that there will be a lot of tourists during that time, we want to make sure we have reservations everywhere and so far, we've been having a lot of trouble contacting Mrs. Duana. No one seems to be answering her number, including the one you posted here. Any advice?

Also, we plan on having two small children with us. a three year old and a 1 year old. Do you think they can come with us on the boat for the whale sharks and fireflies or should we just leave them at the resort? Thank you so much!

Dear Traveler, when you touring around Albay -sorsogon, what do you think is the best beach to go ro run. I am planing to visit philippines this december 08 and I would like to stay in a place by along beach and go to run in the morning. The longets the beach the better
thank you for your reply
victor

calvin: Victor, I'm not familiar with the beaches in Albay but in Sorsogon, Rizal Beach is your best bet. The resort is by the beach and the shoreline goes a pretty long way. It's not crowded either.

The other beaches in Sorsogon such as Subic and Tikling don't have any resorts near it (you have to travel by a small boat to get there). The beach in Donsol goes a pretty long way too but is not suitable for running (some parts quickly disappears during high tide). Hope you enjoy your visit!
