A School Boy Wins Britain’s Got Talent

For those of you who are not updated with Britain’s Got Talent, well a school boy won the competition. And no, it’s not the choir boy Andrew Johnston but a real mean street dancer, 14-year old George Sampson.

If you do not know, he also joined the competition last year but wasn’t able to reach the semi-finals. He came back this season much better, more determined and a bit taller.

The top three finalists were:

2nd Place – Andrew Johnston (click to watch video)
Andrew sang Pie Jesu again which was the same song he sang during the audition but this time, he appeared more confident.

1st Place – Signature (click to watch video)
A duo of dancing Indians (not Native Americans). One is a brilliant imitator of Michael Jackson’s dance steps and the other one dances Bhangra (lively indian music with the sitars and all). Together they did a Billy Jean / Bhangra dance routine that you gotta see. It’s pretty entertaining.

Winner – George Sampson (click to watch video)
George performed the Singing In The Rain urban mix routine that he did on the semi-finals which the audience really loved. The judges commended him for choosing to do it again. With that performance, he bested 9 other finalists to win the event.

I’m not surprised that a kid won BGT. Winning the competition gives George the chance to perform in front of the Royal Family at the Royal Variety Performance this December.

For the other amazing acts such as Andrew Johnson, Faryl Smith and Escala, Simon Cowell is interested in signing any of them up with his Syco Music company.
