Dark Knight and the incredible bus fare increase
A lot of bloggers have been posting their Dark Knight experience and I don’t want to feel left out. But before I go there, I would like to ask those who take the bus by how much did their bus fare increase. I’m not talking about the Php 1.00 increase in the minimum fare but the fare when you exceed the minimum.
For example, before the fair hike, we pay Php 17-18 each to get from our place to SM Megamall. But yesterday, on our way to my in-laws, we were asked to pay Php 24 each!! Ack, we can take the 1-peso minimum fare increase but 6 pesos can really put a strain on your monthly budget. I feel sorry for those who have to go farther than us.

Oh yeah, about Dark Knight. I have to say I didn’t enjoy it. My wife didn’t even bother to watch and we weren’t even able to finish it. I guess that’s the experience you’d get from watching pirated movies inside a bus. Hehehe. I still have to watch it in a movie theater though.

Heath Ledger was good. But I think all the buzz and excitement is a little overrated. Plus the movie eerily makes me think that a lot of psycopaths (especially those american teenagers with tendencies to open fire in their schools) would think the Joker is cool and would want to emulate him. I didn’t see much of a moral lesson to that movie. There was so much evil and not so much redemption.
calvin: yup, pero if you would read the dark knight talagang dark yung character ni Joker. the movie’s not for kids or young teens talaga.
