I doubt if Geoff and Tisha could win TARA 3
For all Filipino fans of The Amazing Race Asia, do you think our team will win this season? Hmm… I’m really hoping that our dating couple, Geoff & Tisha would win or even just go as far as Marc & Rovilson but I’m having my doubts.
First, just a brief background on Geoff Rodriguez.
He’s a 26 year old model who hails from New Zealand and was known for being a member of the Powerboys some years ago. He’s in good shape, athletic, competitive and capable. Actually according to Rovilson, he’s a carbon copy of Marc Nelson. Being Australian means he’ll probably have no trouble with right-hand drive vehicles.
Looking good for Team Philippines.
What about Tisha Silang?
Tisha is a Canadian and a former beauty queen (1998 Miss Philippines Universe). She’s 6 years older than Geoff and according to their TARA interview, she’ll be the one who will make the critical decisions during the race. She’s also fit and competitive so we probably won’t have any problems with physical tasks.
They really look strong on paper so why am I having doubts?
They’re strong individually, it’s the 4 years dating part that I’m concerned about and they admitted that they’re the exact opposites. From the previous seasons of TARA, the top teams were always buddies, siblings, or have been together for a long time.
On their TARA interview, Geoff even acknowledged that he has a short temper and that they often argue about things. One thing I liked about Marc and Rovilson was that during the flag arrangement task at the end, Marc has the right to be angry at Rovilson but he just kept his cool and they just went on to finish the race.
We don’t want Geoff and Tisha to be like Henry and Terri from last season who kept on biting at each other. Or even like Edwin and Monica who got eliminated early because they don’t really support each other.
At least they’re still on the race on their way to India from Singapore
Another thing that gave me doubt is how experienced are they really when it comes to traveling or time management? According to their TARA writeup, they had an experience where they missed their flight three consecutive times. They even almost missed the deadline for video submission

calvin: hehe im still not impressed with their teamwork so far. but they came prepared though.
I understand. Thought I a little bit worried I’m still keeping my faith alive. I guess they have to be portrayed as the underdog to keep the suspense in the finale. An example of this is when they checked in Forbidden Purple City in Hue. They were actually ahead of the pack but lost in a footrace. They spent more than 30 minutes looking for the for Allan.
