Where is the best taco in Metro Manila?

I only started eating tacos when I met my wife and I really love it. Because of that I had to make up for lost time. Every time we go out, I would crave for tacos as an afternoon snack.

taco I am in constant search of the best taco in town that gives you value for your money. Maybe a maximum of Php60 for a good taco. Right now, these are my top tacos:

1. Pancake House  (around Php70)

Their tacos call Best Tacos in Town is my benchmark for the taste of a taco. Their taco shell is excellent. Crunchy and has a slightly salty taste even if it’s not corn taco. Their ground meat is very tasty and delicious and the veggies are crisp and chilled. The problem is its price, you need to eat two to be satisfied.

2. Mexicali (around Php90)

I’ve only eaten taco here once because its a bit expensive. But I was really craving at the time so we decided to give it a try. For its steep price, their tacos are brimming with veggies, cheese and ground meat. Decent taste for a taco and very filling. Mexicali makes pretty good salsa by the way.

3. My wife’s tacos-all-you-can (around Php140)

Hmmm, let’s see… Php50 for a 12-piece taco shell. Php40 worth of assorted veggies, Php40 worth of ground meat and cheese for Php10. Expensive but you can have seconds and thirds. She makes a mean taco but the problem is it’s my task to clean up afterwards and it’s hard to remove the cheese off the grater. Hehehe.

Too bad our place is far from Taco Bell’s. I would surely love to try out their tacos even just for once.

Here are other places where we’ve eaten tacos but didn’t really enjoy.

1. Nacho Fast (around Php60)

They have lots of stalls around but we tried the one at Robinson’s Galleria. Their taco is small and the taste is just plain. Just not worth it.

2. Taco Mia (around Php60)

The place is located at the basement of Greenhills Theater Mall where the food court is. If Nacho Fast’s taco is small, Taco Mia’s smaller. I could finish it in three bites! Should’ve let the others order it first so I could see how it looked like.

So there you go. I still haven’t found that value and delicious taco that I could eat over and over again without breaking my budget.

For you, where’s the best and worst taco you’ve eaten here in Manila? Help me and other Pinoy taco lovers by leaving a comment.
