I’m so unlucky with mobile phones
Holy Cow! I just lost my beloved Nokia 6300 on our way home from the supermarket last night. It was picked from my pocket while we were riding a jeep.
Actually, the phone was attached to a lanyard which in turn was tied to my belt buckle (yes I’m careful with that phone). But when we got off the jeep, I noticed the lanyard hanging from my pants with the other end frayed. Arrrgh!
I really love that phone!! It has good speakers, microSD slot, USB connection, nice screen resolution, slim form and sturdy build. It was the perfect phone for me!!
I’m just so unlucky with phones. Wanna know the bad history between mobile phones and me?
Bosch 607
First phone back in college which my father bought me. Fell off from my pocket and left in a taxi.
Nokia 6310i
I replaced my Bosch with this one which I bought with my own money. Left it again in a taxi going to gf’s place (my wife now).
Nokia 6610
The following day, I went to Globe and got this phone discounted from loyalty rewards. Eventually, I Iost it inside a bus where it was picked from my pocket.
Nokia 6610i
Got the same model but with camera from Bidshot. It was picked from my pocket again in broad daylight while riding a jeep. However, I confronted the group and got a chipped tooth, black eye and a bruised ego in return. Nice!

This is the most recent casualty which is a gift from my wife 
I even attached it to my belt buckle to avoid having it picked. I’m sure gonna miss this phone and I hope whoever gets it will take good care of it.
Grrr. I hate building up my contact list again. I also have to call NTC and report my IMEI number to have it blocked.
Next time I may need to carry a purse to store my phone. Hahaha.
Oh well, time to exercise positive thinking. So what should I be thankful for?
- It’s not my wallet that got stolen
- We didn’t get hurt in the process
- My pants was not damaged
- I was able to post something interesting today
- Wife gets to have an idea on what to get me for birthday
Hmmm, how about an iPhone next time or maybe an Omnia? Hehehe.

balitaan mo kami if you got an iPhone or Omnia ah. pero if your wife is reading this, pakisabing bilhan ka nalang ng 2nd hand na N5110. LOL.

ang malas mo naman pala pre pagdating sa cellphone. why not try the cheap models para di na pag interesan ng mga snatchers.
personally i still have a working 5110 phone na i only use at home. syempre mas bago yung gamit sa labas para di naman nakakahiya hehehe!
that’s what I did after my 6610i. i bought a cheap SE phone, less than 3k. Hindi sya nanakaw although nasira naman yung joystick. hahahaha.
this time talaga cheap phone again.
hassle. di mo pala pwede itawag sa NTC yung IMEI mo. you have to go there personally with the box and ID to have your phone blocked. I don’t think it’s worth the travel for me (I’m from the south and NTC is in QC) having no guarantee na mabloblock nga effectively yung phone.
grabe… lagi na lng yan… i still remember your black eye.. ang malas mo naman sa phones.. what if you get a neck strap? you can just wear it while commuting tapos put it in silent mode and put the phone inside your shirt/polo? or iipit mo sa underarm mo… hehe

lots of pick-pocket at your place eh. i got an idea. get your wife to sew a small pocket right inside your pants; like the one to put coins. hehe.
calvin: pickpockets are attracted to my pocket. only thing i need to do is get a phone that is so ugly that they would have no choice but to return it to me and even give me money to get a decent phone. hehehe.
