lol. this is one of those half thought up riddles. criminal 1 and 4 are just dead meat…. if 2 shout out that he is wearing a white hat, 3 would lead off that and shout he has black. 4 wouldn’t know who said white or black. and cause of that, 1 wouldn’t be able to shout. only criminal 2 and 3 would live…. what a happy ever after huh… or you could go the lawyer way. they all shout at the same time cause they took off their hats and looked at it….. de de de

hey guys! this the question right???

“Who is the first person to shout out and why?”
NOT
“Who is the first person to shout out THE COLOR OF THE HAT CORRECTLY and why?”

My answer would be man 1. He has more courage to shout first because he has the advantage of seeing the hat of the 2 criminals.

Am I wrong or what???

for one, he doesn’t know the color of the hat he’s wearing. another thing is that he can’t see number 4.

omg im so confused it says 1 sees 2 blac hats so he must be weating a white hat but he is wearing a black hat in the picture :S and sees 1 white 1 black not 2 blacks

I have to agree with boy_abundat.
this is a 50/50 case.

the riddle should be that whoever shouts out the correct answer they would be all set free.

this is a perfectly logical being problem meaning the choice of their words seals their fate… since this is the case, they will not speak anything if they’re not certain of if… since this is the case, #1 will say nothing at all, #2 will know that #1 is seeing to different colors and will ultimately know he is wearing a white hat.

The answer is not complete.
- #2 is right since #1 is not certain bec he’s seeing 2 different color and then #3 will also shout correct color of his hat based on the same logic that #2 used but this still leaves #1 and #4 same scenario, a 50/50 chance of knowing their hat’s color and it most likely that they were hanged….
