Got robbed by Bruno
Last Sunday, I decided to have a haircut before we buy a phone. The first barbershop we saw was Bruno’s Barbers and since it didn’t look crowded, I went in.
For a haircut, I could really settle for the Php40 one but I have to wait for a long time for my turn. In malls, I could go for the Php100 haircut every once in a while. But the price at Bruno’s is Php150 and since I was in a hurry that time and Bench Fix might be crowded, I decided to stay.
Ok so when the barber was about to finish cutting my hair, I decided to ask him to shave my growing mustache and beard as well. Usually in the Php40 haircut, the shave is free so I don’t really know how much established barbershops charge for them. I didn’t bother to ask cause I thought that it might only cost around Php50.
When the barber tilted my chair so I would be in a lying position and placed a warm towel to cover my eyes I thought “Uh oh”, I don’t think this service costs Php50. The barber was careful not to leave any stubbles and he did a really good job to make me look like a high school kid.
Guess how much the shave cost? Php180!!! The bill for my haircut reached Php330!! Yikes! That really exceeded my haircut budget. This means I won’t be getting another one till next year. And two days later, stubbles are growing on my chin already. Sigh.
Bruno’s Barbers is for the rich but I guess it’s still cheaper here in the Philippines than in other countries.

here, i had my hair done for $30. nilibre pa ako ni aunt irene. and the filipino gay guy was really good. i thought of going to him again before i return but for certainty, it’s cheaper there.
calvin: so magkano na yung haircut ni papa? or hindi pa sya nagpapagupit?
Buti ako na lang ang nagsheshave ng ulo ko. Summer look na, tipid pa. Halos every week ako nagsheshave.
calvin: hehe ok yan pero di bagay saken hahaha. magtatanong na lang ako next time pag bagong barbero.
