Back online and some weekend news
Finally after being down for almost 24 hours, my site is now back up. It seems that my site is still crashing the server but I think the hosting company repaired it already. Thank God it’s a weekend when most people are away from their computers.
Just some random news here.
Tropic Thunder
Saw Tropic Thunder last Saturday with my wife and felt our money was well spent afterwards (unlike Bangkok Dangerous). It was already shown in the US last August so I won’t be doing any review on it but I recommend you watch it for a good laugh.
It’s a movie about a bunch of actors doing a war movie that turned out to be based on a fake story. Robert Downey Jr. was hilarious playing a black soldier and his lines and the way he delivers them are so funny! You should definitely see Tom Cruise dancing to the tune of “Low”. Hahaha. Also stars Ben Stiller, Jack Black and Matthew McConaughey. They even made their own preview trailers for the movie!
SM Marikina
Yesterday we had the chance to visit the newest SM mall with my in-laws, SM Marikina. From the outside, the area looked really big just like an airport terminal. But once you go inside, you can actually tour the whole place in less than 30 minutes. It has 4 floors including a basement and seems to be as long as one building of SM Megamall.
Review of Gigabyte M912
Remember the netbook that I got to play with? Just finished reviewing it and is now online at Pinoy Tech Blog. It’s a pretty nifty netbook and actually, one of my co-worker just bought one after seeing it.

I went to Zhongguancun last weekend and saw the Ideapad S10. Liit.. ang fragile tingnan. I don’t like the red color, pangit ang pagka-red niya. price is the same online at RMB 3,999 for the black.
calvin: maliit naman talaga netbook. it’s very portable.
glad to know you’re back online!
calvin: yeah, i hope it would stay that way for a long time.
Good to know that your site is back again. Parati atang na-da-down?
Look Tropic Thunder is indeed a good movie. Another person also gave thumbs up for it.
calvin: site ko pala may problem not the server. problem is i dont know much about SQL to determine what’s causing it. maybe some of the plugins i used. pero can’t really verify. but they said naayos na raw nila.
but i dont think tropic thunder is for everybody, baka ma-offend kayo sa mga green jokes ni jack black or you don’t want to see gory stuff. but the dialogues are really funny
Tropic Thunder is hilarious!
** What do you mean, “you people”? **
My favorite part was the little Chinese kid. Especially yun last scene with him. Haaiiiaaahh!
calvin: hahaha yan din favorite ni tia. when the kid kept on stabbing stiller. fuunnyy!!
ganun ba? so I take that movie as something that will appeal to men .. we have that man-humor kasi.
calvin: yup, more suited for men. maybe if a woman watches it by herself she won’t enjoy it that much.
i want to watch that movie… open pa ba yan?
and hey calvin, got a tag for u at http://berryblog.net/2008/09/spread-berry.html
