How to fix grainy photos in Photoshop
During our trip to Ilocos a year ago, we didn’t know that the ISO setting of our camera was set to a high value (800 I think) which is only useful in low light shots with a tripod.
We didn’t notice anything wrong with our photos by just looking at the display screen of our camera. But when we got home and viewed our shots in our PC, most of them turned out grainy due to the high ISO setting. That sucked cause the places we visited during our trip were really beautiful.

Imagenomic's Noiseware Professional
So I asked for help around our office on how to fix our photos and was introduced to Imagenomic’s Noiseware Professional (patch included in the download) which is a plugin for Photoshop.
It’s quite easy to use. Once installed, open your grainy photo in Photoshop then go to Filter > Imagenomic > Noiseware Professional.
Usually, the default settings are fine and all you have to do is click ok. Check out this before and after photo.

Before: You can see the noise on the horse and the houses behind

After: No more graininess but sidewalk details were lost
Nice huh? You can play around with the sliders if you think you’re losing a lot of detail. This plugin may not be good for close-up photos but for run-of-the-mill everyday shots with a lot of noise, this would do wonders.
I highly recommend this plugin if you’re an amateur photographer that needs to occasionally retouch such photos.

calvin: hehe. parang spam ang comment mo ah
Cool! Mas ok ito kaysa yung default ng photoshop. I wonder if this plugin is entirely free.
By the way, I tried to get to the link and it is not working. “page load error” on my end.
calvin: sorry about that. Ziddu can’t seem to accommodate all the bandwidth that it’s getting. Anway, I uploaded the same file here in Sendspace. it’s not free that’s why there’s a patch included
Thanks for this one, I downloaded it.
Okay lang ba magpost dito ng link sa ganun? mahuhulog na nabibigay ka ng warez sa site mo he he he.
You have saved my life with this post! Thank you!!!
i cant figure out where to install it nor run the crack- plus my virus program flags the crack as a trojen- tried several times but its not there when iopen up photoshop
It should install itself to its own folder under Program Files. The folder is Imagenomic. Even without the crack, you should still be able to see the filter in your photoshop.
McAfee showed a trojan – generic.dx. Anybody else?

Yup! I got a Trojan alert in Symantec so deleted it immediately…
What a good blog post! I found your site on Google. I will come back soon, thank you…
