Jeepney and Taxi fare reduction

This may be a bite late but I just learned of this today while on our way to work. Since Monday, there have been a fare reduction for jeepneys and taxis in Metro Manila.
Minimum fare for jeepneys are back to P7.50 while the P10 addition to the total fare in taxis has been removed. Unfortunately, taxi drivers have not removed those stickers yet so unwary passengers might think that the P10 addition is still in effect. Maybe that’s why the taxi we rode last night was very thankful for the extra money we paid. Hehehe.
Anyway, this is good news for commuters like us. Let’s just wait for buses to reduce their per kilometer fare since the Php1 reduction to the minimum fare is barely felt if you’re going far.
