Just upgraded to WordPress 2.7
Just spent an hour backing up my site and upgrading to WordPress 2.7. I was expecting the manual upgrade will give me headaches but surprisingly it went pretty smoothly with only a couple of minor hitches.
I followed this Upgrading WordPress Extended guide which was pretty detailed and I was able to upgrade quite easily. You won’t see much changes since most only affected the admin pages. But if you’re an admin on a WP blog then you would appreciate the upgrades that they did.
Hopefully, my plug-ins won’t break and send my host crashing after this upgrade. By the way, threaded comments is now available courtesy of WP 2.7. Check out my comment section which I still need to style but it will have to do for now.
Hmm, should I go for a theme change next?

weee! welcome to wordpress 2.7! I am also enjoying it. parang mas gusto ko galawin na lang theme behind it than writing stuff… hahaha.
ang dali mo naman magpalit ng theme. hehehe. kapapalit mo lang ata ng header.
i also love threaded comments. pinalitan ko kaagad yung sa akin.

Di ko napansin na kasama pala sa WP 2.7 yung threaded comments thing. Nag install pa ako ng separate plugin. Looks like this one is threaded already. One thing for me to know if it is, is to hit the Submit Comment button. hehehe

styling na lang.
merong plugin na pang update ng wordpress instead of having to do transfer files manually. Baka gusto mo gamitin yun.
calvin: yeah i’ve heard about it pero some people are saying na hindi gumagana for them. medyo pihikan yung hosting ko kaya ayaw kong umasa sa automated. although wala namang problem nung ginawa ko manually. took me an hour lang (backing up and uploading new files).
