Windows Live Writer 2009 rocks
Windows Live Writer is hands down the best blogging tool out there for me. If you don’t know what Live Writer is, it’s a way for you to compose your posts offline before you publish it without the need to log in manually to your site.
What separates it to other publishing tools out there is that you’d get a live preview of your post. It will render the stylesheet of your blog so you’d see how it will look like online. It will also take care of uploading the photos for you which is nice for posts like my travel guides where I use a lot of photos.
There’s a recent release of Windows Live Writer and this one has more photo border treatment. The reflection effect you see on my image is made by the new Live Writer. Neat huh?
You can also use Live Writer to easily embed watermark on your images and they finally included a built-in word count that is lacking from the previous version.
Windows Live Writer can publish on popular blogging platforms such as Blogger, Typepad, LiveJournal, WordPress, etc. You can also install plug-ins that allows more productivity. I highly recommend this one to all bloggers out there.
