How attached are you with your blog?
For the bloggers, I’m asking this question because my blog became unavailable for hours and I was wondering how attached are you with your blog. Are you thinking how many visitors will you lose while your site is down? Will you panic, freak out and feel frustrated?
When I visited my site earlier, I get the “Error establishing database connection” message. I cannot access my cpanel because the server crashed or something and the only thing I could do was to contact support and wait. I didn’t think too much about it because there’s nothing else I can do.
Fortunately it was repaired after a few hours. But what if your site went down for a day? or 2 days? Or every other day for weeks? Will you stay up late just to see if you’ve done everything you can?
Hehehe, that’s the problem on having a successful blog, you will get attached to it and will be thinking about it a lot whenever a problem occurs. Like an itch that won’t go away.
All I can say is relax… and be thankful that it only went down and didn’t get deleted. Hehehe.

My site went down for more than a day. Ploghost’s server suffered a harddrive problem, crashed and had to re-install everything.
And yeah, I got attached to my blog hahaha.
calvin: hehe move ka na sa new host if it’s happening too frequently for you.
Your site was down awhile ago.
calvin: yikes talaga? i wonder if i did something wrong during my upgrade.
hmm.. before I’m attached to it trying to post once a day. Now, with work and physically sick, I’ll be lucky to post once a week. Also, live writer doesn’t work and I really hate posting photos online using the add new post format.
calvin: paganahin mo live writer. nakakawalang gana talaga magpost pag hindi via live writer hehehe.
So far, it hasn’t happened to me, well not for days. There was a time when my blog was down for a couple of hours. I checked my settings, wala namang problem. So I figured that it has something to do with the servers. Since I can’t do anything about it and since it won’t come to life even if I pull all my hair out, I just prayed for it to go “live” soon. LOL.
I try not to be too attached to my blog but I know I can’t do that. Hahaha.
calvin: hehehe. nagbloblog ka nga even outside eh. ako bahay lang.
It’s always in the back of my head at work. Nakikipagkwentuhan ka lang, maiisip mo, uy magandang post idea yun ah. Pero siempre you keep it to yourself na lang. Once you’re online, it’s hard to turn off the pc, maski tapos na magpost. Kasi there’s a whole set of routine built around the blog. Hays, kabago-bago pa lang adik na. Hehehe.
calvin: hehe lagi mong chinecheck kung may comments. or kung ilang hits na.
