Slumdog Millionaire bags 4 awards at the Golden Globe

I knew that this movie would be really special. Slumdog Millionaire won the award for Best Motion Picture – Drama at the recent Golden Globes. It bested Benjamin B., Frost/Nixon, The Reader and Leo & Kate’s reunion film, Revolutionary Road.

Aside from Best Picture, Slumdog Millionaire also won Best Director (Danny Boyle), Best Screenplay (Simon Beaufoy) and Best Original Score (A.R. Rahman). It won all awards that it was nominated for. I would root for this movie and hope that it will have similar success at the Academy Awards.

By the way, the late Heath Ledger also won the Best Supporting Actor award as expected. I would think that he was really incredible as Joker even if he’s still alive.
