The biggest and brightest moon of the year

Did you see the full moon tonight? When we got home at around 7 PM I kinda noticed something different with the moon tonight. Aside from being a full moon, it’s a bit bright and close to us.
Turns out that the moon is at the “perigee” (closest approach to earth) tonight and according to PAGASA, it’s 14 percent bigger and 30 percent brighter than usual. I took a crummy picture of it with my limited photo-shooting skills.
I love the cool evenings by the way! Nice night to take out the trash. Hehehe.

Calvin, that’s perigee =p
calvin: tinetesting ko lang kayo. hahaha. apogee and perigee diba?
thanks thanks! appreciate the correction.
Yeah, I noticed the moon last night. I loved the way at illuminated the sky. Ang saya siguro nyan if you’re 30,000 feet in the air, makikita mo talaga yung liwanag ng buwan.
calvin: hehe perfect for shooting a particular ET scene
I noticed it too! May picture din ako… pero tinatamad akong mag upload hehe… bukas siguro. but it’s really close and bright nga kanina!
Ganda. Di ko makita ang moon last night, kasi puro ulap ang nasa langit.
calvin: weird. dapat makita mo kasi mataas kayo eh.
Hindi naman, nagkataon lang na maulap noong nangyari ito.
wow…di ko napansin yan ha…bakit di mo sinabi? buti na lang kinuhaan mo sa labas ng bahay para authentic…heeeeheee
