Bohol tour on a budget with Ritchie

On our last day in Bohol, we met this great guy Ritchie Vasquez who brought us to the airport. Before we went to the airport, we asked him to take us to a place for an early lunch. He brought us to Chicken Ati-atihan which is cheap and delicious by the way and we invited him to have lunch with us.

Ritchie and his Pregio

Since he’s so nice to us, I asked him if it’s ok if I give him and his services a free spot on my blog. He gladly obliged so I asked him tons of question over our lunch.

A little something about him

Ritchie has lived all his life in Bohol and has been doing the tourist tour business for quite a long time now. He’s married and is expecting their first child real soon (as of this writing).

He’s a member of the tourist transport co-op in Bohol so you can be sure that he’s trustworthy and won’t take you for a ride. His rates are fair as well and he owns two vehicles, a Toyota Avanza for a small group and a Pregio for a large one.

Rates (this excludes any entrance fee)

Chocolate Hills Tour

- P2,000 using Avanza

- P2,500 using Starex

Panglao Island Tour

- P1,500 either vehicle

Going to Danao (can include in the Chocolate Hills Tour)

- P3,500 using Avanza

- P4,000 using Starex

Transport only

- P500 either vehicle

Contact Number: 0915-448-6772 (GLOBE), 0919-765-4571 (SMART)

His Toyota Avanza is very nice because it’s quite spacious for a small group unlike the sedan of other drivers.

Ritchie can also take care of your hotel accommodations and boat tours so he can be your all-in-one guy. He’s a trusted driver of Dumaluan Resort by the way. So if you’re looking for someone to tour you around Bohol or just a driver during your stay there, Ritchie’s your man.

Hehehe, I don’t have any cut or discounts from posting this. Just helping out a good man.

If you’ve been to Bohol, then, you’ve seen a Tarsier na. Tarsiers are prosimian primates of the genus Tarsius, a monotypic genus in the family Tarsiidae, which is itself the lone extant family within the infraorder Tarsiiformes. Although the group was once more widespread, all the species living today are found in the islands of Southeast Asia.

They are banning the display na daw? For me, ok lang since malapit na sila ma-extinct. What do you think?

what??? baket daw ibaban na for display? will it accomplish anything? dapat i-ban yung mga makukulit na foreigner na hindi marunong sumunod sa mga rules sa tarsier.

Hi! Thanks for the comprehensive info regarding contacts :)
I will be sure to contact Dodong and Ritchie.
I will be traveling to Bohol with my husband and 4 y/o son this May
    25. What beach do you think is best for children? Any info would
    be helpful!

    Warmly,
    Giselle

    • Calvin says:

Hi Giselle, I would recommend Dumaluan Beach Resort where we stayed or Bohol Beach Club. Both have nice, clean beachfront and may kiddie pool din for your kid if he doesn’t feel like swimming at the beach. Not too crowded din. You can contact Ritchie din to arrange the accommodation for you if you like. Hope you enjoy your vacation!

    Hi calvin,

Sobrang helpful itong website mo especially your bohol trip.. I was looking for a place to stay with my fiancee for vacatiion this september im thinking of going to palawan and because of this site i am considering to go to bohol. by the way if you dont mind how much did you spend for your whole trip just for the accomodation and tours not including airfare? thanks!

    • Calvin says:

hey thanks! yung tours and accommodation namin is 15k and that’s for 4 days and 3 nights. Wala pa pala dyan yung food except that lunch in the Loboc river curuise. you can go cheaper if you’re not going to do the Panglao Tour anymore. Pwede naman i-customize yung trip mo with the help of Ritchie. :)

Hi, I just want to point out po na Ritchie charges P1,800 per person sa Chocolate Hills tour.(8 spots, entrances and loboc lunch)

  8. Calvin says:

Thanks for that info Grace, did he say kung isang vehicle lang gagamitin? Hmm, I’m not sure pero if you ask kung kayo na lang bahala sa entrace and Loboc River lunch baka makatipid kayo. Sabihin mo na lang na hindi lahat papasok sa mga may entrance.

  9. Jacqy says:

hi! dba sa dumaluan beach resort may kasama na ding bohol tour pag dun nagstay? si richie din ba ang maggng guide if ever dun or free lancer lang talaga sya??

    • Calvin says:

meron package yung dumaluan beach resort to include the Bohol Tour pero optional lang yun. si Ritchie freelancer lang but has contacts with different resorts in Bohol. It’s either sya or brother nya magiging guide depende sa schedule nya.

Hi Calvin!! I just want to let you know that your blog was amazing and very informative…. And very detailed. I was planning to visit Bohol next year on February, is that a good month to see Bohol.thanks for all the detailed information you posted, now I’m so excited to see Bohol.

    • Calvin says:

hi athena, our trip was also in February although it was a weird weather at that time because there’s not too much sun. and it rained hard a couple of days before we got there so Loboc river was murky. February is usually a good month to visit but it all boils down if it’s gonna be rainy or not early next year.

Thank you for leaving the kind comment.
