Bohol tour on a budget with Ritchie
On our last day in Bohol, we met this great guy Ritchie Vasquez who brought us to the airport. Before we went to the airport, we asked him to take us to a place for an early lunch. He brought us to Chicken Ati-atihan which is cheap and delicious by the way and we invited him to have lunch with us.

Since he’s so nice to us, I asked him if it’s ok if I give him and his services a free spot on my blog. He gladly obliged so I asked him tons of question over our lunch.
A little something about him
Ritchie has lived all his life in Bohol and has been doing the tourist tour business for quite a long time now. He’s married and is expecting their first child real soon (as of this writing).
He’s a member of the tourist transport co-op in Bohol so you can be sure that he’s trustworthy and won’t take you for a ride. His rates are fair as well and he owns two vehicles, a Toyota Avanza for a small group and a Pregio for a large one.
Rates (this excludes any entrance fee)
Chocolate Hills Tour
- P2,000 using Avanza
- P2,500 using Pregio or Starex
Panglao Island Tour
- P1,500 either vehicle
Transport only
- P500 either vehicle
Contact Number: 0915-448-6772 (GLOBE), 0919-765-4571 (SMART)
His Toyota Avanza is very nice because it’s quite spacious for a small group unlike the sedan of other drivers.
Ritchie can also take care of your hotel accommodations and boat tours so he can be your all-in-one guy. He’s a trusted driver of Dumaluan Resort by the way. So if you’re looking for someone to tour you around Bohol or just a driver during your stay there, Ritchie’s your man.
Hehehe, I don’t have any cut or discounts from posting this. Just helping out a good man.

Hi Calvin,
We were able to have a HiAce Van for our day tour (excluding entrance fees/lunch at Loboc) for only P2000. We started at 10am-6pm. We were 4 (2adults/2kids).By the way on the Loboc tour try to get the first resto/boat called Riverwatch. The food was delicious and refills are generous. As per my driver/guide Riverwatch is the most popular among all resto/boats at Loboc.
We also included our driver in the Loboc lunch.
Thanks.
calvin: that’s good to hear choi! thanks for the tip about riverwatch. si ritchie din ba nag-tour sa inyo?
I have been to several tourist spots in the Philippines including Palawan, Boracay, Bohol, Cebu, Pagudpud, and more.
Drop by my site to check my post on Places to Visit in the Philippines which I based on my personal experiences: http://www.thingswelovetohate.com/2009/06/places-to-go-in-philippines.html
helo po…ok lang kaya magpadala ng money by richie for reservation sa dumaluan resort…?
yup it’s ok. pero if unsure ka pwede rin naman magdownpayment sa dumaluan resort mismo.
we were in bohol this week-end (Aug.7-9), and our main contact person was Richie. very softspoken man and trustworthy. he was our tour guide straight from arrival at the airport the first day. he was’nt available the next two days but he made sure we were in good hands. his brother rejjy took us to the airport for our flight back to Manila.
Hi Calvin,
I just want to ask if we can get the contact number of Dimaluan 2 Resort from Ritchie. We have plans to have a Bohol tour in September. We have been contacting Dumaluan Resort but the numbers in their website are not available. Or if you have some contact numbers can I ask them? In addition, did you have any idea of how much will it cost for a taxi from Tagbilaran to Dimaluan (vice versa) or are metered taxi always available there in Dimaluan Resort, because we have other plans in our trip.
Thanks in advance for any information you can give us.
hi eden, sure you may ask Ritchie for the number. As for the taxi, I don’t know but it’s a long ride from Tagbilaran to Dumaluan. Why not ask Ritchie as well? You can hire him even if you’re not taking the tour and he will quote you for a reasonable amount.
Hi i’m a balikbayan and we will be at Bohol this Sept. I wanted to stay at Dumaluan i’ve been bouncing emails with them pero they won’t answer my questions, they will respond pero hindi complete details.. Is there any other way na magpabook sa kanila with the same price?
thanks
erica, you can try ritchie. he can arrange the accommodations for you. it would be better if you could him on his cell.
Hi Calvin.. We plan to go to Bohol this November.. I’d like to know if ung rates ni Ritchie para sa tour, is that per pax? thanks.. God bless
Hi sheryl, yung rates ni ritchie is per vehicle. kung ilang magkasya doon pero hindi kasama yung mga entrance sa pupuntahan niyo. i think loboc river lang yung may mahal na entrance since lunch cruise yun.
Hi, Calvin. My family and my sister’s family are scheduled to go to Bohol next summer. I know it’s still months away, but it’s going to the peak season so I’m preparing for our trip this early.
Thanks for your post, it’s very useful. I’m taking down notes of restos and contact persons.
We’re going to be a party of 16, with 5 teens and 3 kids! It’s quite big and it’s going to be costly.
I hope you can still give me more tips so we can stretch our budget more.
Thanks!
Hi miscel, laki ng group niyo ah. hmm i guess the only thing i can think of is prepare a list of tours (chocolate hills, panglao, boat) then ask lang kung sino ang gustong sumali saan.
baka yung matatanda (kung meron) gustong diretso na sa resort para magpahinga so transport lang talaga ang kailangan nila while the others will do the tour.
then paghindi naman mapili sa food. you can opt to have it delivered from a nearby place if you’re staying at dumaluan. one of our readers did that and nakatipid talaga family niya. here’s his comment.
Hi Calvin,
your site has a lot of helpful info
btw, do you know how much would it cost for d dolphin watching? we’re going to bohol on valentine’s day and it’s gonna be a family date (my dad, mom,me and my sister).
thanks!
Hi Kat, if you’re going with the hotel rates it’s around 2k+. but if you have a contact sa tour operators mga 1.5k lang. try yung boat guide namin si dodong if you want straight transaction.
