Jailbreak for 2nd Gen iPod Touch is drawing near
Actually, the iPod Touch 2G has already been jailbroken but the process is too manual and there are many different things that could happen while jailbreaking. Project redsn0w, the one focused on jailbreaking the Touch 2G, just released an unsupported tethered jailbreak to the public.
So what does a tethered jailbreak mean?
It means you have to connect your iPod Touch 2G to your computer every time it boots and manually inject the patch into it. Sleep mode is not considered as a reboot but it still is a tedious process just to enjoy a jailbroken Touch.
The members of the Dev-Team involved in the project are now focusing on this breakthrough so that hopefully we’ll get a safer and easier patch (like Pwnage/QuickPwn) for our iPod Touch 2G really soon.
Ooohhh, I can’t wait for it so I could customize my Touch even more and install free 3rd party apps.
