Jeepney fare will be reduced to P7.00 on Monday
Posted on February 21st, 2009 by Calvin
Fellow commuters please be reminded that the minimum fare for jeepneys has been lowered to P7.00 starting this Monday (Feb. 23). The LTFRB recently authorized the minimum fare reduction for jeepneys in Metro Manila, Central Luzon and Southen Tagalog.
There’s no word yet if bus and taxi fare will be reduced as well. Bus companies are still recovering from the modernization campaign that’s why we’re seeing less old and clunky buses these days.
Oh yeah, this Monday has also been declared a holiday to celebrate EDSA Revolution. However, the holiday is only for students in public and private schools so it’s still a regular working day for us employees. Bummer.
