More bandwidth please
Last November, I asked fellow bloggers how much bandwidth their site is consuming. My hosting plan has a 3GB bandwidth cap and I had to ask for an additional 2GB (their minimum) every month since I am always exceeding the limit.
Anyway, just this month I was afraid that I might need to add a couple GB more since I almost reached the 5GB limit. Thank God it’s already February.

So what gives? Am I being spammed? Is it the photos that’s consuming a lot of bandwidth? I already have caching installed so I’m not sure what’s causing it. Or is it just because I’m having more visitors here?
I would like to ask my fellow bloggers now how much growth did your blog get since November last year? I don’t think almost 2,000 more visits from December to January warrants almost 1GB of bandwidth, or does it?
If you can shed some light, kindly leave a comment. Thanks!
FashionJuice, I would like to hear from you because your site has tons of images.

Hmmm… probably ganun talga. coz as we already talked about it, mine is1925.99 Megabytes for February and it’s only Feb 4/5. Well, I actually don’t know which is the most accurate coz iba din sa Google Analytics and it’s also different if you check at the control panel vs the stats in word press.
If you have experienced an increase in views/hits lately, then expect that you’ll need more bandwidth soon
calvin: ok. thanks talaga! that means i have to add $2 per month for more bandwidth.
Hmm… I don’t know really how to see how much my programmer blog consumes bandwidth. I don’t have access sa cpanel anyway. I don’t own the hosting space. I don’t know also how to check it in Google Analytics.
The condition that I had agreed with the owner of the host was to get the images hosted away from the blog. My images are hosted somewhere – the older posts are hosted in my old blogspot blog while others are in photobucket. Just recently I had some pics hosted in tinypic.
Of course hosting the pics somewhere has its disadvantages too, but you might want to consider it if you want to spend less.
calvin: hassle talaga mag host ng pics on other sites although it would really save on bandwidth. but ang trade-off is that i can’t take advantage of Windows Live Writer automatically uploading my pictures on my blog for me. hehe bayaran ko na lang $1 per month for additional bandwidth.
thanks for the tip though. ok yung stats sa cpanel. hindi kaya ng Analytics malaman bandwidth consumption mo.
Oh you’re using live writer! Is it better? I have not tried it. Derecho ako gumagamit sa dashboard. I should try that on one of these days (if I had not disabled that feature through wordpress security).
I’ve tried Contribute and the one that provided by Word 2007. Ayaw ko pareho.
calvin: Live Writer is the best blogging tool out there. ive already tried Word and the Firefox plugin Scribefire.
