Slumdog Millionaire went 8 out of 9 at the Oscars

I’ve been hyping about the movie Slumdog Millionaire ever since I saw it early this year. I’ve asked everyone I know to watch the film and they liked it as well.
I guess it’s really a special film because it just won 8 out of its 9 nominations at the Oscars including Best Picture and Best Director. It’s only loss was to Dark Knight for Sound Editing.
Here’s the list of categories it was nominated for:
- Best Picture
- Directing (Danny Boyle)
- Cinematography
- Original Song (Jai Ho by A.R. Rahman, this is the music during the credits)
- Original Score
- Film Editing
- Sound Mixing
- Sound Editing (lost to The Dark Knight)
- Adapted Screenplay (Simon Beaufoy)
Way to go Slumdog Millionaire! Jai Ho (which means “may you win” by the way)!
