Got fooled by ExpressCut Barbershop
Actually, I have no one to blame ‘cept myself for assuming things just like what I did at Bruno’s. Hehehe. You see I really needed a haircut and while the wife is shopping at Greenhills, I saw this poster while waiting in line at a BPI ATM.
It says, ExpressCut The Discount Barbershop and Haircut for as low as 65 Pesos. Ok so what do I initially think? It’s a reasonably priced barbershop and that “for as low as 65 Pesos” could only mean a basic haircut and nothing else which is what I need.
So I head up looking for the place and waited for my turn without confirming my assumptions. After the quick haircut of just about 15 minutes which I think they are known for, I went to the cashier to pay.
When I gave her a P100 bill she said that the haircut costs is P130. I looked up on their signboard and true enough, during weekends the price is P130. The P65 deal is only during weekdays from 10AM – 1PM.
Ouch. I didn’t event get a courtesy massage at that price. I should’ve convinced my wife to go to Galleria instead and have my haircut done on Top’s. Oh well, I hope this would also warn others about their misleading poster. Another guy was also fooled by it but in his case, he asked the cashier first before having his hair cut.

i hope you still look good with the haircut.
Misleading sign indeed. How was the haircut?
the haircut is quite decent naman. i just asked for an ordinary barber’s cut anyhow.

calvin: hayy sa index na lang talaga. P40 lang.
Pagupit mo na lang kay Tia buhok mo. Ako lang gumugupit ng buhok ni jor. He likes it better than the haircuts he gets here.

Ako na gugupit sayo next time. Di naman knife gagamitin ko noh.
Di kasi nagtatanong e…heheh!
hi there! allow me to defend expresscut, i am brye santos and a regular customer of expresscut in v-mall. if i am not mistaken, they just had their price increase last july or august (from 65.. from 10am to 1pm and 99.00 from 1:01pm to 9:00pm and it increased by 120.00 weekdays and 130 on weekends); so how come you paid 130.00 last march. please be fair and just, i also have my own business and I dont want this negative write ups and the intention of ruining other’s business’. please be a man enough to correct this message and expect good karma. regards, brye
maybe you are mistaken that their price increase happened earlier? in fact, i have no basis on their previous price so i don’t know how I could make it up.
i have no intention of badmouthing their service (in fact some people like having quick haircuts). just their misleading poster. as i mentioned in the post, another guy got fooled by it and I was just stupid for not asking first. hehehe.
noted.
