Filter holder for point and shoot cameras
I noticed that whenever we go on trips, my shots usually don’t turn up too well due to the abundance of light whenever I’m shooting. I am not satisfied with my shots of the beach or the water because it’s too bright.
According to my photographer friends, a polarizer filter will do the trick. It will bring out the colors even on a bright day. Since I’m only using a weird point and shoot camera, those threaded filters won’t work on my lens. They suggested that I should look for filter holders that can be screwed underneath my camera.
I called Island Photo in Makati who carries a lot of camera accessories including Cokin filters and they suggested the Cokin G350 Filter Kit. It could fit almost any point and shoot digital cameras including my swivel-type Nikon Coolpix S10.
I hurried to their shop and bought the Cokin G350 for Php1282 which also includes 2 filters (star and sunset). A friend lent me his circular polarize filter that I could bring on our trip and I’m gonna show you guys the result when I get the chance!
Hope it will turn out to be a nice investment.
