American Idol 8 Top 4 Results
There are four idols left and each one of them deserves to be in the Top 3. So who’s going home tonight? Well whoever it is will still probably have major success afterwards.
Just take a look at Chris Daughtry from 2006. He got fourth place but went on to become the most successful non-Idol winner or runner-up in terms of record sale. He’s in the show tonight to sing their new debut single “No Surprise”.
Anyway back to the results, American Idol received over 64 million votes tonight which is by far the most outside the finale.
After performances from Slash, Paula Abdul and No Doubt and a clip of previous idols’ hometown return, Ryan announced the first one to be in the top 3. And it’s… Kris Allen! Wow wow wow. I really thought he’s gonna be eliminated tonight but Kris fans pulled through for him. He was clearly shocked with the news.
Chris rocks!
After the break, they showed a video of Chris Daughtry’s journey in American Idol and how his band’s first album went quadruple platinum. He sang their new song, “No Surprise” and afterwards, Kris Allen presented him a plaque for the success of his first album.
Back to the results, next one to join Kris is Adam Lambert. No surprise there.
It’s down to Danny and Allison and the one who takes on the final seat in the Top 3 is Danny Gokey.
Goodbye Allison
The American Idol journey for the 17-year old red-haired girl from Los Angeles, Allison Iraheta, has ended. The rocker gets eliminated in rock night.
Fighting through tears, she sang her final song in AI, Cry Baby as was able to nail it. She was still in tears after the show when judges and the other contestants were saying goodbye to her. It’s good to hear from Randy that he got her back if she’s to get a record out.
Sigh, it’s an all boys crew in the final 3.
You have to give props to Allison though. She’s one of the youngest in AI history to have gone so far in the competition. David Archuleta was only 16 when he reached the finals last year.
I hope she could do a recording with Adam Lambert

The show doesn’t make sense next week and in the finale. I wish there would be again a wildcard?
calvin: hehehe yeah parang shoo-in na nga si Adam. No match yung dalawa when it comes to talent.
But I love Allison. =’(
I think Kris will be in the finals.
If the final two would be Kris and Adam, I think Kris will win.
If Kris and Danny, I hope Kris will win. Hehe.

calvin: why don’t you think Adam will reach the finals? I think Kris will be eliminated next. Gulat talaga ako kay Danny. Ang daming fans despite hindi naman ganun kaganda mga performances nya. Feeling ko mananalo si Adam pero I’d vote for Kris.
Fearless forecast: Adam. Hahaha. But my heart is with Danny…always. Even with the horrendous last note.
calvin: Yeah seems like maraming fans talaga si Danny boy. di pa napupunta sa bottom 3.
