Is Jamie Pugh of Britain’s Got Talent a sham?
Jamie Pugh is just like any simple ordinary 38-year old guy. He is a warehouse worker by day and pizza deliveryman by night. His only dream is to sing in front of a large audience, especially in the Royal Variety with a live orchestra.
He admitted suffering a severe stage fight and was too nervous to perform. But he was able to deliver a very sincere and heart-warming rendition of Bring Him Home from Les Miserables that brought the audience to their feet. Check it out:
“Just for this brief moment, I feel complete,” he says in the backstage after his performance.
Could he top Susan Boyle?
Wait… There’s more
So did he get you with his moving story? He couldn’t utter a word when the judges were talking to him after his audition. Those tears are real that you would probably want him to reach the finals so bad.
But according to DailyMail, he’s a liar. When asked by Simon if he ever sung in front of a big audience, he shook his head and replied “No”.
Well the real story is that he already performed in the West End. He appeared in a weekly showcase for new talent, Star EFX Sunday Night Live, at Her Majesty’s Theater in London with a group of singers.
Well in Jamie’s defense, he said he denied misleading the fans because he has never performed alone.
Not quite. In the said talent show, after he sang a medley of Rod Stewart hits with a group of singers, he sang a solo of Louis Armstrong’s classic, What a Wonderful World.
So does this whole thing matter anyhow? Will it affect his chances of winning BGT? Bookies are now offering 7/1 odds that Pugh will get the boot.
