Manny Pacquiao KO’s Ricky Hatton in 2 rounds
It only took 2 minutes and 59 seconds in the 2nd round for Manny Pacquiao to finish off Ricky Hatton and win the IBO and Ring magazine light welterweight champion of the world title.
Hatton was clearly outclassed and was no match for Manny in this fight who was able to knock him down twice in the first round. Early on, Hatton kept locking bodies with Manny to land some cheap blows.
Hatton looked slow as he completely missed a left hook that led to a right hook from Pacman that felled him. He got up but was knocked down again with a 1-2 combination followed by a left straight as round 1 ended.
At this point, trainer Freddie Roach knew that it won’t be long since Hatton kept exposing his head. True enough, Pacquiao connected with a thunderous left hook into his jaw that knocked him out completely.

I was able to watch the fight in live streaming video from Justin TV with little to no lag at all. Maybe the delayed telecast will make the 6-minute fight into 2 hours. Ugghh.
I’m really happy for Manny but I wish he would work on his interview skill. Hehehe.

I expected my right hook is going to be dangerous for him because he’s open. He’s very surprised because I have a new right hook. I can fight anybody, I hope everybody’s happy. Thank you very much.”

yeah, we waited for 2 hours. 3 i think. but it was all worth it. we were all shouting as early as the first round. and we were surprised, so surprised, when hatton fell down! we didn’t even see pacquiao’s hand! hehehe.
all i can remember was last ten seconds and that they should keep counting and that hatton should never get up.

Before the match I really thought it’s gonna be tough for Manny. I didn’t know na mahina pala sya sa technique considering 1 pa lang talo nya.
Pero panalo talaga yung interview ni Manny. Sinimulan nya ng “Yeah, I mean…”
