MRT to operate 24 hours starting June 1
Posted on May 28th, 2009 by Calvin
Good news for those of you who works during ungodly hours and have to commute going to and from the office. Starting June 1, the MRT will be operating 24 hours daily.
Is it really good news?
Well for some maybe. Those whose offices and homes that are quite near an MRT station will surely benefit. Chances are, you still have to ride a cab at 4 AM to get to the nearest MRT station if it’s far from your place.
At least you don’t have to worry about rushing to catch the 10 to 10:30 PM closing time for the MRT if you need to stay a tad bit longer at the office.
This only applies to the MRT3 (Metrostar Express) by the way and not the LRT1 or MRT2 (Megatren).

Wow! this will be more convenient for commuters!
This is indeed a very good move by the government.
I don’t take MRT when I go to work, but this will surely benefit the employees with shifting schedules particularly in the call center industry.
Thanks for the info.
