Two kids round up the finals for Britain’s Got Talent

The finals for Britain’s Got Talent is tomorrow and as expected on the last group in the semi-final round, two kids advanced to make up the 10 finalists.

The top vote-getter for the night is 12-year old dancer, Aidan Davis. He really rocked the theater with his dance routine of a remix of Justin Timberlake’s Rock Your Body. He popped, he locked and he dazzled the crowd with this self-choreographed moves.

Actually, the screen behind him showing multiple but delayed versions of himself was a bit mesmerizing and created a very cool illusion. I wonder if he will have more tricks up his sleeves for the finale.

Nerves of Steel or not?

Hollie Steel 10-year old Hollie Steel took the last spot in the finals after she sang the classic Sound of Music song, Edelweiss. It was not perfect but still the kid sang it beautifully and had the audience singing along with her.

What is not shown in the video is that it was her second chance that night. Midway through the song on her first try, she backed out in tears running to her mom with a bad case of stage fright.

But after a few acts, she was allowed to try again and was able to finish her song and brought the judges to her feet. That’s why the judges kept telling her that she was brave and courageous to have returned and finish her act.

No male soprano in the finals

Greg Pritchard To help you remember, Greg Pritchard is the guy with the weird voice that is called “male soprano”. His rendition of Barcelona is what Simon called really freaky but he was able to pull it through at the end with his really, really high female voice.

The last spot was actually between him and Hollie but the judges chose the teary-eyed girl. Guess being a kid running to your mom in tears and coming back afterwards will earn you big emotional points with the judges.

I feel kinda sorry for Greg even if his voice is really weird.

Got your vote already? Here’s a list of the 10 finalists:

  • Susan Boyle (sing)
  • Diversity (dance)
  • Shaun Smith (sing)
  • Flawless (dance)
  • Stavros Flatly (dance)
  • Shaheen Jafargholi (sing)
  • Julian Smith (saxophone)
  • 2 Grand (duet)
  • Aidan Davis (dance)
  • Hollie Steel (sing)

Stay tune tomorrow for the finals!
