Proud of my choice of netbook: Asus Eee PC 1000HE
I’m the kind of guy who is very meticulous with choosing the kind of gadgets I buy. I do a whole lot of research before committing myself into buying something.
Last March, I decided to buy my very first netbook. I read a lot of articles, compared features and prices until I arrived at the decision of choosing the 1000HE from Asus.
I bought it from Amazon at a low price (translated to Php18,000) when it was still pre-selling and I was one of the first owners of that netbook here in the Philippines.
I often use it when I don’t want to wait for my desktop to boot up or if I had to go online when I need to be in a different part of the house. We also bring it on our trips if we need to stay connected. So it was a very well-used gadget for me.
So where am I going with this?
LaptopMag just concluded its Netbook Madness where different netbooks are being pitted against one another and people vote in what they think is the best one for each group. I think this went on for 3 months.
Guess who was the overall champion? The Asus 1000HE!
It got 7087 votes against its main competition, the Samsung NC10 which received 5945 votes.
Now that’s what I call best buy!
If you’re planning to buy the 1000HE I think you can get one for as low as P19k here in Manila but you might want to check out the newer models of netbooks.

heheh dyan ka nagkakamali. i’m not really into macs because of their prices pero if you look at the apple store here in the philippines, it costs P66990 so depende na lang kung sang store ka bibili.
I’ve been thinking of getting a netbook also but medyo nasa HP mini ang leaning ko. Di pa sure. hehehe…
BTW, how much is the shipping cost if you order from Amazon?
the mini is good. many are looking for it because of its HD capability (although medyo confusing what model has it because there’s a model with and without it). learning curve lang yung side left and right click nya.
shipping for amazon differs talaga pero usually free shipping to any US state pag expensive purchases. syempre pinoy maraming kababayan na umuuwi palagi so pinasama ko na lang netbook ko.
e panu kung gusto ko ng macbook? mas maganda pa rin laptop mo kaysa sa macbook?
