Show number of views a post have in WordPress
Here’s a nice plugin for those of you who have your own self-hosted WordPress blog.
WP-PostViews by Lester ‘Gamerz’ Chan enables you to display how many times a post or page of yours has been visited. It’s nice to add this plugin when you’re still starting so you can get accurate stats.
Unfortunately, I added this plugin a bit late that’s why some of my previous posts have 0 views. Oh well. For current posts, I can quickly check how many visitors are coming through my front page.
If you’re going to use this plugin, don’t forget to check the General Usage instructions. You need to edit the following php files: archive.php, single.php, post.php and/or page.php.
It’s very easy to implement. You can ask me if you’re having trouble with it.
