I bought an item at https://us.asos.com which is just around $10. It will be shipped from US to Philippines. Free shipping. Do you guys have any idea if I will be charged for customs fee?
Please advise. Estimated delivery is on 2/13/2012.

my fiancee send me a package through fedex,its an engagement ring,and just today i received a call that they will charge P18,459 for the custom tax,its half of the price of my engagement ring..it really sucks..

I have the same problem with custom/fedex.. i bought a 35mm film from hong kong for about 1200, …. customs charge me 1800!!!! WTF

sa tingin ko they protect importers/distributors here, malaki ang tax pag may legitimate importers dito like shoes, wines, etc…

Hi, did they charge you? I just received my items i bought online from the US, it’s worth $209 and DHL shipping cost is $130. Last night they texted me that i have to pay PHP2,547 for custom duties so i called them and they asked me if i’m okay with the said payment and i said yes (anyway it’s just about 16% of the total cost of the items).

The agent who delivered the package checked the documents and found no custom duties, so i paid nothing.

Be sure to ask for the invoice.

I have an incoming parcel from Singapore which my friend sent me as a Christmas gift. Its a Samsung Galaxy Tablet 10.1 32GB. DHL just called me up a while ago asking me to pay a little over 5 thousand pesos upon delivery. I am asking for them to email me the invoice and they still haven’t replied yet.
