Have you tried going to the grocery after Typhoon Ondoy?
The roads are a bit wider after the typhoon due to classes being suspended while some people still can’t go to work. To take advantage of the clear weather, we decided to go to the grocery to replenish our food.
We went to Waltermart (Pasong Tamo near Don Bosco) to do our grocery at around 6:30PM and it was chaos at the supermarket.

There were no seafood left and a lot of people are stocking up as well. Carts are filled to the brim with canned goods, noodles and bread and it is not uncommon to see people using two carts or more.
I guess most people who are not affected by Ondoy are bracing up for Typhoon Pepeng who’s expected to arrive in two days. Some maybe are stocking up their sari-sari store and I hope they won’t overcharge their goods. If you encounter any overpricing of goods you may report it to the DTI hotline at 0917-806-3473.
While others are hoarding food, guess where our dear Mikey Arroyo is stocking up on? Liquor. Hehehe. Sarap talaga siguro uminom pag-umuulan.

Got this image from Facebook and it’s not in Waltermart.
Not a lot of work done at the office as most people weren’t able to come in. Some are doing volunteer work while others can’t come because their way is still impassable. Of course others spent the day rebuilding and cleaning their homes.
Stay safe everyone.

for own consumption ba mga groceries na yan? baka naman idodonate nila sa ondoy victims?
Grabe I went to SM Makati kanina (Monday) at around 4:30PM. Soobrang dami tao sa Supermarket! Parang Sunday crowd. A lot of people were buying boxes of pancit canton, others biscuits. Kami we were just doing our regular weekly grocery. I was pleasantly surprised na hindi naman naubos ang stocks sa SM. Actually, well stocked sila EXCEPT for the canned goods area especially the sardinas were the first to go I think. Shame on the panic buyers though, sana don’t buy more than what you need wag naman sobra.
We were out of SM by 6:30 kasi ang haba ng pila. We were next in line to a Singaporean couple who bought several boxes of biscuits and juice packs. I believe they were donating the biscuits or they really really really like SM Bonus biscuits.
yup baka dodonate nga yung iba especially yung bumili ng maraming delata.
pero yung mga umubos ng seafoods malamang for own consumption.
yon mga bumili ng naparaming canned goods for their own consumption, bili rin kayo ng maraming diatabs, for sure kapag malapit na expiration dates yan mga binili ninyong delata pang almusal delata, pananghalian delata at panghapunan delata pa rin.
I’ve been to 3 different supermarkets for the past 3 days. Sunday I was at Hypermart, Pasig (beside Tiendesitas) to buy cleaning materials for my uncle’s place which was hit by the flood badly and the lines were sooo long due to lack of cashiers open because only a few of the employees got to work that day.
Saturday, I was at Pioneer Center and lines were moderately long and I was happy to see that most of the people there were buying boxes and boxes of food stuff/water to donate. (I was there too to buy things to donate)
Sunday, I went to SM Megamall to buy our own stock at home but lines were all very long and there were no more shopping carts available. Of course, a lot of people were in panic buying mode.
sorry wrongs days written, Sat-Sun-Mon

baka-ipropose nya yung parang great firewall of china dito. hehe.
I went to SM North EDSA last night and there’s quiet a lot of shoppers too, e specially in the grocery floor. Others are happy singing in the demo karaoke units. While others are swimming for their lives, others are tearing their voices to sing and enjoy
