Disappointed with Rialto’s Speed Racer
Any of you guys have been to Enchanted Kingdom’s Rialto lately? They’re showing Speed Racer which I think would really make a good motion simulated movie for the park.
That’s what I thought at first but I was disappointed when I get to see it with my wife last Saturday. With the long line going inside I thought it would be worth the wait. I thought wrong. Here’s why:
- They didn’t gave us 3D glasses. All those quick, flashing colors to go with the blurry shots is a pain to watch without special glasses.
- The ride was so lackadaisical. It’s like they made it baby-friendly. I can get a much jarring ride from our public buses.
- I wish it was a POV movie. It would be better if you’re watching from Speed Racer’s point of view instead of watching it as it is shown in the movie. There’s just no continuity with the motions.
So if you find yourself at Enchanted Kingdom and don’t have much time, you might want to skip Rialto’s Speed Racer. Just download the trailer to your media player and watch it during the trip. It’s basically the same experience. Hehehe.

One thing good it did is that I’m now interested in watching the full movie. Oh, and I get to take a picture with one of our great boxers, WBA super flyweight champion, Nonito Donaire Jr.
Another good thing we experienced, the finals of the fireworks competition was a blast! I didn’t know it was really fun to watch those kind of competitions.
