Webhostingpad, so far so good
It’s been 4 months already since I moved my blog from A Small Orange hosting to Webhostingpad so I guess I’m ready to give my review about their hosting service.
Just a brief info about my site statistics. Calvin’s Hub is a blog on the WordPress platform getting an average of 1,500 page views daily (based on WordPress.com Stats) which translates to about 7 GB worth of monthly bandwidth.
Pricing
I chose Webhostingpad because it is cheap. For a 3-year contract, I only paid about $47 ($1.30 per month) because I already have my own domain. This already includes unlimited bandwidth and disk space which is the cheapest I found. My previous host is $2 per month but only gives you 3GB monthly bandwidth.
Webhostingpad only have one hosting plan so you don’t have to think about mixing and matching configurations.
If you want a year’s contract, it will be $4.95 which is what you usually pay for popular and more established hosting services so I wouldn’t suggest yearly if you’re going with Webhostingpad.
Actually their unlimited is not really unlimited. When you look at your cpanel, you will see that you are only allotted 10GB of bandwidth and 100GB of disk space per month. Still unlimited for an average blog.
They accept Paypal payments but you have to do it manually. You can e-mail them for their Paypal account and instructions on how to pay.
Performance
During my stay with A Small Orange, I always get problems with my blog which causes the server I’m on to crash. I didn’t find the cause when I moved but I’m leaning towards the incompatibility of their system with some of the WordPress plugins I am using.
Migrating to Webhostingpad was quick and easy. I thought I would encounter any problems once my site is up but I didn’t.
I do encounter downtimes with Webhostingpad… about 6 times (I check my site almost everyday) during the past 4 months and each lasting an average of 5 minutes. Compared to my old hosting site which crashes my site once a week and sometimes going on for days.

During the days of Typhoon Ondoy, my page view spiked into the eight thousand mark but this didn’t cause my site to crash so I’m pretty happy with Webhostingpad’s performance.
Support
Webhostingpad gives 24-hour support which is pretty important. Average reply time I get is 10 minutes except during the 4th of July when my site went down for half a day and nobody seemed to be manning the support desk.
Of course I didn’t ask any technical details so I wouldn’t know their expertise on those stuff. I just e-mail them whenever my site goes down.
Conclusion
I would highly recommend Webhostingpad to bloggers and site owners with an average number of daily visitors (around 5k page views daily). It’s cheap, tested with WordPress platform without any problems and comes with 24-hour support.
This is not a paid review.

Bakit $47 lang ang 3 years? Lugi ako, two years yung sa akin sa webhostingpad tapos $58, bakit nagkaganun? May promo ka bana nakuha? Akala ko nakamura ako nung nakuha ko yun.
mas mahal talaga pag 2 years. lalo na pag 1 year. sa 3 years ka makakatipid ($1.99 per month) tapos ginamitan ko pa ng %10 discount na promo code.
wow… nice info you have here.
yeah if you’re planning to move out of blogger to create your own wordpress blog ok itong webhostingpad.
