Carver’s Tenderoast for some cheap eats
Last Monday my wife and I decided to go to SM Mall of Asia for dinner when she couldn’t prepare food because she overslept in the afternoon. Hehehe. No big deal since I’m craving for some froyo at that time.
We’re looking for an inexpensive place to eat that we haven’t tried yet and while walking along the strip of food joints just outside the mall, we spotted Carver’s Tenderoast.

The food in the menu are very affordable. Around P100 is cheap when dining at MOA. It’s a new place that we haven’t heard about yet and best of all it’s not crowded.
They serve two types of rice which you can choose from for each order, pepper with teriyaki sauce or java rice.
My wife ordered the roast chicken with the pepper rice.

For less than a hundred, the serving is small compared to Kenny Rogers but slightly bigger than what Jollibee or KFC typically serve. Don’t let the size in the picture fool you, it was a bad angle. The taste is a bit sweet (from the teriyaki sauce?) and different than your typical roasted chicken. Tastes like sausage. Hehehe.
Since I was craving for sisig at that time, I ordered their beef sisig for P79! Woot!

I found out that beef sisig is just like corned beef with a different sauce. The serving is not that big but what can you expect for P79 right? I enjoyed their pepper rice with teriyaki sauce though.
Tenderoast also serve porterhouse and t-bone steaks but I doubt if they are really tender as their name implies. Not a bad resto for a quick and cheap meal but it won’t fill you up unless you order their combo meals (P100++).

At the end of writing this post, I realized why in the world did I blogged about this place. Sorry folks, I won’t post about “Tropical Hut” or “Chicken Inasal” type of food joint next time.
