Got our Nikon Coolpix S10 fixed
If you’ve been following my blog, you would know that I broke our Nikon Coolpix S10 while we were at Boracay. It fell to the floor from my seat and I was getting the “Lens error” every time I turn it on.

Anyway, we were able to have it fixed at Columbia Digital in SM Megamall. Actually it’s not entirely fixed because the only way to turn it on is to use the preview button and not the On button. That’s the only workaround the guy could do to make it usable.
The repair would have cost Php2,900 but since it’s not entirely fixed, I don’t have to pay for it as we’ve agreed upon. However, I just gave him something for his time which is ok for me since he made the camera usable again.
What’s good with the Nikon Coolpix S10 anyway?
Well the Nikon Coolpix S10 is the last compact zoom camera that Nikon made which features a “swivel lens”. We could easily take photos of ourselves or take shots from a difficult angle (like from the floor or overhead shots).

But the most cool thing I like about the Coolpix S10 is its ability to take photos with the “Bokeh” effect (blurred background) easily. Somehow I couldn’t achieve that effect with the Panasonic Lumix without making a LOT of adjustments.
So I’m happy that we got our Coolpix S10 back! Just in time for our Beijing trip. Now which digital camera should I bring?

oo nga which cam to bring? since malamig, mas madali maubusan ng battery espeially kung nagoopen close ang lens..
so 3 cams na? at least yung olympus weatherproof. hehehe.
It worked! My S10 comes on in preview mode. Thank you so much! Aloha from Hawaii.
