I totally agree.
I just got my delivery that cost 36 USD. The customs charge is 2.4K Php. Plus the storage fee is 835. Plus other fees. I paid 3579.25 Php for the delivery.

Something must be done here.

i used to buy online products. i received the notice from bureau of customs of las pinas but i leave in vicinity of sucat, muntinlupa.. what is this?hahahhaha akala ko makakamura ako sa product na nabili ko, hndi rin pala mapapamura ka pla tlg sa tax nila..bwisit..

I was shocked that fedex did nto delever the parcel door to door, instead they send me a letter that it was hold in the custom in manila and I need to pay 7,408- WHHAAATT?

This is too much! Philippines is so corrupt! I asked for a breakdown and here it is:

- I do not understand why do the include the Dutiable Value, the processing fee in the VAT. looks like I paid twice… I will definitely tell everyone not to send packages from abroad in the Phils. I did not expect this much!!!

i cant believe this is also happening to me right now. i called up fedex questioning the taxes and duties the delivery man is asking me to pay which is also more than the value of the package. the person i talked to told me to return the package until this is settled. he said i will receive a call asap from the concerned dept who will give me the details and decide whether they will lessen or waive the amount. so i waited and wasted my time waiting for nothing. i followed them up and even located the “concerned” officer who promised to email me the details but days and wks has passed and still no action. my husband ff it up from the country of origin and was informed that the package was labeled for destruction already. This is just so unfair.

Last time, I paid 1.2k for 3 action figures and 1 model kit. Bargained it from 2.4k. Tsk tsk.

I order in Ferrari online and I bought 1cap, it cost €22.50, now, fedex deliver it to my house and said I need to pay php 2,226.00 for tax and duties. How come that tax and duties are more expensive than my purchase order?

novaliches post office near forest hills…. so corrupt…. they required me to pay 1000 pesos for the package my mother sent, a USED cellphone already. It was meant a door to door delivery but it was held for a month at the post office so i came to pitch it. then and there, i was forced to pay 500 pesos (bargained for the amount already), when i ask for a receipt, they said, “wala nang resibo, mura na nga yang P500.) So disgusted! Corrupt… the people there opened the package in front of me, without asking for my consent, without explaining. so i was panicking because some small items might get lost along the way. If i can’t pay for it, the Post office people said that i can’t get my package… NOvaliches POST OFFICE! let’s be fair and just. You’ll going to reap what you saw.
