What to expect at CEL Manila 2009
Not many people know that there is a consumer electronics expo going on right now here in the country. It’s not as widely promoted as those IT expos in Singapore but it is still something you might want to attend this weekend if you love gadgets or if you want to start looking for Holiday gift ideas.
I went to the CEL (Consumer Electronics Live) Manila 2009 at World Trade yesterday when it was still not crowded to get a glimpse on what to expect inside.
There are a lot of exhibits going on not only from known brands but also less-known ones with cool products that might be something to think about having or giving this Christmas.

I get to see the world’s thinnest Dell Adamo XPS laptop which Dell allowed to showcase despite not yet being available to the market till next year.

The thin Samsung LED TV’s are also on display with discounted price.

If you’re looking for digital cameras, Canon is giving huge discounts on its old but still nice-to-own models. The waterproof Canon Powershot D10 is now only around Php19k from its old price of Php26k. Check out their Dzone booth inside.
Check out the MSI-ECS booth if you’re looking for external hard drives. Their Buffalo external drives are on sale during the course of the expo.

There’s also this Singapore-based mobile phone manufacturer, Verzio, offering the slimmest dual sim phone with touchscreen capabilities for less than Php5k.

The place is spacious so you it won’t feel crowded. They have plenty of food booth inside and tricked-out cars (even a small two-seater plane) on the side for some photo-ops. Hehehe.
For the schedule of events, games, raffles and other things you can learn in CEL Manila, like elements of successful blogging by YugaTech, check out their site and register to get free entrance too. Ticket price is Php50 if you can’t register on their site.
