A week ago, I got a nice-looking vacuum cleaner from Electrolux on my doorstep. Actually, I won it at their Christmas Party for the media before we left for China and just had it delivered.

We really don’t use vacuum cleaners at home. My last memory of us using a vacuum cleaner is those old, heavy, wheeled vacuum cleaners with a bag and a long cord snaking all over our house. So when I got the ErgoRapido… wow, tangerine! Looks good on our living room wall.

The ErgoRapido from Electrolux is a 2 in 1 cordless vacuum cleaner. Yep no more tripping over cord and switching power outlets between rooms. The main part which does all the sucking can be removed from the stick with a press of a button for some handheld vacuuming action.

It has a charging base station to store and charge the Ergorapido. In the base you will also store the two nozzles for the handheld vacuum in case you want to use it on small spaces, furniture, clothes, car interior, etc.

The head of the main vacuum is very flexible which can swivel at 180-degree and can easily be oriented for corners, under the bed or sofas.

The battery charger for the ErgoRapido has passed strict energy guidelines set by the EPA and US Department of Energy earning it an Energy Star rating.

It is a very nice stick vacuum suitable for on-the-spot cleaning and can easily pick-up dust, crumbs, hairs and dirt. Some say that the suction strength is weak but the trick is to always clean the brushed roller on the head for hairs that get tangled. But if you’re gunning for heavy-duty cleaning, you might want to look at other bigger vacuums.

The ErgoRapido is so easy to use and maneuver that my wife wants to quit her job just to vacuum our house everyday. Hahaha. ErgoooRapidddoooo!
