In case you don’t know, American Idol fever is once again upon us and the season premiere will start next week, January 12 and 13. So expect some AI posts from Calvinshub every now and then especially if there are Filipinos joining the contest.

So what’s new this season? Well everybody knows about Paula Abdul quitting and taking over her judging duties would be Ellen DeGeneres. However, Ellen won’t be joining the regular judges (Simon, Kara and Randy) during auditions but instead, she will start during Hollywood Week.

Rotating guest judges during the auditions include: Victoria Beckham, Mary J. Blige, Kristin Chenoweth, Neil Patrick Harris, Joe Jonas, Avril Lavigne, Katy Perry and Shania Twain. Can’t wait to see NPH be a guest judge. Hehehe.

Here in the Philippines, American Idol Season 9 will be shown on QTV starting January 13 and 14, 6PM and replays at 8PM.
