Apple released iPhone OS 3.1.3 firmware upgrade

Ok iPod Touch (and iPhone) users, there’s a new firmware upgrade available. iPhone OS 3.1.3 has very minimal fixes that is probably not worth upgrading to unless you’re the type who always want the latest firmware.
So what’s new with firmware 3.1.3?
- improves accuracy of reported battery level on iPhone 3GS
- resolves issue where 3rd party apps would not launch in some instances
- fixes bug that may cause an app to crash when using the Japanese Kana keyboard
Pretty unexciting actually. Blackra1n and redsn0w doesn’t recognize 3.1.3 yet so those with jailbroken iPod Touch/iPhone should think twice before upgrading. Or skip the update altogether unless a lot of your apps are regularly crashing.

I’m more interested in a firmware upgrade for the newly-released iPad – yung pwedeng magmulti-task at maglaro ng Flash games. Oh wait, I have to buy (or win) an iPad first. LOL
So walang pronlema sa battery kpg ipod touch and having the old 3.1 firmware?
Hay naku, ij-jail break ko na din ang ipod touch ko dahil yung mga apps ko ayaw na mag work sa version ng OS na meron ang touch ko without having to pay.
E basag na ang screen ng touch ko so not worth paying for an OS upgrade. Tsk.

Apple just released OS 4.0. Pwede kaya siya sa ipod 2nd gen? According to quickpwn, applicable daw ung jailbreak ng 2nd gen ipod dun. I think they did not specify kung 3.1.2 jailbreak. May idea ba kayo ’bout dun? No need to buy new ipod right? (can’t find right place to post this, so dito na lang.

the OS 4.0 is still in beta and is only available for developers. once na-release sya im sure pwede mong iupgrade ipod touch mo via itunes. however, if you want to retain your jailbreak, wait for news of it muna. i don’t know kung applicable yung quickpwn.
did you know na OS 4.0 can do multitask pero only for the ipod touch 3G? hehe kawawa ang 2G. mas kawawa ang 1G kasi hindi applicable ang os 4.0.
awww!! crap!! sana naman gumawa sila for 2G.. I’m waiting for multi-tasking and flash. Tapos for 3G lang un. >.<
i think hindi kaya ng processor ng 2G yung multitasking. baka bumagal lang at mainis ang mga tao. same with flash. asa pa tayo.

hhmmm pag-asa saan? this is the beta firmware that is available to app developers. not for regular consumption pa. not even a jailbroken firmware.
BUT pwede for ipod 2G.

Great write up. The iPhone is truly revolutionary and I don’t like being without it. This time last year I had jumped in a pool with my iPhone and it was dead. I had to wait 9 days before I was able to buya new one. The phone I had was a cheap go phone. I really love all the games that can be downloaded to the iPhone. The best part about the iPhone to me is the ability to check emails on the go. Thanks for the information.
