adidas officially launches miCoach in the Philippines

Earlier this afternoon at Bonfiaco High Street was the official launch of the miCoach Pacer, adidas’ fitness training device. There was a treadmill speed challenge where you could win a miCoach and other adidas gear but I didn’t join anymore. Lots of pro runners who joined and I had to leave early.

miCoach Launch

The miCoach Pacer is a fitness device that coaches a runner based on specific workout goals like running a race, de-stressing, lose weight, etc. It has a heart rate monitor and a stride sensor for better analysis of your workout. I reviewed the miCoach Pacer a few weeks ago and you can read about it here.

Or if you don’t want to read the review, here’s my recommendation about it. If you’re a new runner whose serious about training and improving your runs but don’t want to jump right into those Php14,000 and up Garmin and Polar watches then the miCoach Pacer is right up your alley.

miCoach PACER and miCoach ZONE

The miCoach Pacer is already available for Php6,995. There’s also the miCoach Zone which is a heart rate monitor with a watch (no stride sensor nor audible coaching) that you can get for Php3,695.

Oh yeah, I finally saw the lovely Ms. Noelle “The Kikayrunner” de Guzman at the event. Hope she places on the treadmill challenge.

Hi Calvin, Nasa miCoach launch ka rin pala. I did not see you. I have the same recommendation. miCoach is good for starters in a budget. Features are just right to those how are starting to love running.

The miCoach Zone is cheaper, but I find it too simple. Just a colored LED wrist strap? Com’on…

Andun ka rin ba? i didn’t see you although parang nakita ko wife mo. sige next event with takbo.ph peeps i’ll look for you. sino pala nanalo nung pacer?

sayang yung zone. sana it can communicate with the stride sensor din para mas-real time yung info and for those who don’t want to deal with earphones.

Dito na lg ako mag cocomment tungkol sa miCoach. I can see na battery lang xa, how about young storage nang info? May memory din ba?
I’m thinking na magandang pang review yung mga Nokia phones with sensor e.g. hear rate monitor, speed & distance, & tracker. Although need mo nang connection para magamit mo ito and you also need a good strap for your phone to mount with.

yup meron i think 10 hours worth of data ang kaya nyang i-save so you don’t have to upload your data on the website after every workout.
