Top 10 Facebook games for March 2010

It’s the time of the month once again when we take a look at the top 10 Facebook games. In a nutshell, nobody can beat Zynga and not much change has happened in terms of ranking but a new game has entered our top 10 list.  facebookmarchHere’s the top 10 Facebook games headed into March.

10. Happy Island – 3,193,914 daily active users

Happy Island As predicted last month, Crowdstar’s Happy Island has finally joined the Top 10 list. The question is, can it stay and move up the ranks?

If you’re sick of all those farms and pets and mafias and want a change of scenery, try out Happy Island. Your start of with your own tropical island and your aim is to increase tourism by building hotels, fruit stands, etc. and make your island as happy and attractive as possible.

9. Restaurant City – 3,545,273 daily active users

8. Pet Society – 4,362,267 daily active users

7. Happy Aquarium – 4,683,352 daily active users

6. Petville – 4,926,362 daily active users

5. FishVille – 5,705,240 daily active users

4. Texas HoldEm Poker – 6,161,063 daily active users

Seems like a lot of people got bored from their pets and aquariums and are now back to playing a favorite classic game of poker. Texas HoldEm Poker is now back in the top 5.

3. Mafia Wars – 6,663,451 daily active usersMafia Wars

Mafia Wars is here to stay thanks to their latest expansion Bangkok. Zynga also added a lot of in-game features such as Mafia respect and Mystery Bags that people are sending and asking for gifts left and right.

2. Cafe World – 9,043,897 monthly active users

1. FarmVille – 29,087,038 daily active users

Still no change here. FarmVille just won’t let up and let go of it’s number 1 spot for the past four months since its number 1 debut in our list.

More than half of the list is made up of Zynga games and if you’re planning to be a game developer or game artist, consider applying at Zynga. Hehehe.

On a side note, Zynga acquired gaming company, Serious Business, last month. Serious Business is a small company known for the games, Friends For Sale and Rock Legends where we did some custom game assets. I don’t know what will happen to the games but I hope Zynga could promote and continue them.

There’s no new game at the moment that seems poised to crash into our top 10 list in the near future but we’ll see in our next countdown.
