To promote its microblogging site here in the Philippines, Yahoo! is holding a contest for Yahoo! Meme users where you can win an iPod nano 8GB every two weeks or an iPad as the grand prize.

Yahoo! Meme is a microblogging service by Yahoo! which is similar to Tumblr. You can post notes, videos, audio or photos and share them to your friends or spread them over the network. You can also follow other users and have them follow you.

So how can you win?

If you currently live in the Philippines and have a Yahoo! Meme account, just register for the meme of the week challenge. Starting April 21, there will be a topic posted at the Yahoo! Philippines Newsroom account. Be creative and post anything related to the topic. The most popular, creative and original post after two weeks will win an iPod nano 8GB. On the fifth topic, the winner will get an iPad.

So it’s really a viral thing. If you have lots of friends who can follow you and repost your meme then you have a strong chance of winning. Share your meme to your Facebook and Twitter for added exposure.
